Animal Adventures

Hello BAM fans! Welcome to our first blog. Today in “Paw-some Adventures” I am talking about giant Pandas. I love giant Pandas because they are fluffy and totally “Awe-dorable”. Did you know that Pandas “chirp”? During mating season they “chirp” to find out who the other Pandas are, if they’re male or a female, and if they’re family. Giant Pandas live in bamboo forests in the snowy mountains of China. Their gestation period is 95-160 days. Giant Pandas live up to about 20 years in the wild. The females weigh about 220 pounds, the males weigh about 250 pounds, and newborns weigh about 3.5 ounces, which is equivalent to the weight of an apple. A fun fact is Giant Pandas have special front paws with 5 fingers PLUS a thumb. They are also listed as endangered animals.
